We caught up with actor Ranveer Singh where he spoke about his soon-to-be-released film – Simmba, Rohit Shetty, Karan Johar, his character and lots more.
When asked about his experience and expectations from Simmba, Ranveer Singh said that he is really excited because this is the first time he is playing a masala hero. There aren’t any cars flying but this is like the evolution of the Rohit Shetty film. When the film was announced there were already very high expectations he says. But they wanted to go above and beyond that. They wanted to create something that’s going to create a benchmark.
Adding to it Ranveer continued saying that,
“We want people to recognize that masala film is at a certain point and then came Simmba which became like a milestone in the genre itself. I’m very happy with the way things have shaped up its got all that entertainment value. It’s all that seeti-taali film but there is a very strong narrative that binds it all together. So there’s no compromise on the entertainment value. There’s all – comedy, dance and dhamaal and action, it’s full power. Karan Johar saw the movie and he says that this is your most assured movie ever. Rohit Shetty has gone to another level now. We all are very happy with it.”
Reliance Entertainment presents, Rohit Shetty Picturez and Dharma Productions, Simmba is slated to release worldwide on 28th December 2018.
