November is here and it’s time for the temperature starts to drop. Majority people love winters, especially because we get rid of the October heat but winter can be harsh (we do not mean like Game Of Thrones harsh). The cold climate damages our skin but we can take precautions too to keep it glowing.

Dry skin can be troublesome, especially in winters!!! However, the cold could be one of the reasons apart from others like hereditary, excessive medication and excessive exposure to pollution too that is the cause of the dryness.

Dry skin problem is faced by many in winters, but don’t you guys worry, we at UrbanAsian have few tips for you to protect your skin.

  1. Avoid Hot Water:

One of the biggest mistakes people make every day with regards to caring for their skin is bathing using hot water. Top skin care experts have said that in order to avoid dry skin one has to avoid hot water. Hot water is really bad for all skin types, as it can strip the skin of its natural oils and makes it drier. So if you want softer and glowing skin, remember to use only lukewarm water.

  1. Bath Time Rules:

Ensure that the time taken for shower is short and use warm water instead of hot water. It would be suggestible to use soaps and face washes that are gentle as they would help reduce the risk of moisture stripping.

  1. Avoid Rubbing Your Skin:

You must be extremely gentle when you wash your face, or use skin care products and even while drying your skin after a bath. Dry skin can be sensitive, so you want to avoid rubbing or aggravating your skin. After you wash your face or get out of the shower or bath, blot your skin gently and pat it dry.

  1. Avoid Alcohol:

Do you love drinking alcohol after a long tiring day? But your skin might not want you too.

Alcohol is extremely bad for your skin; so whenever you shop for a skincare product, always read the ingredients on the label and avoid using products containing alcohol. Look for products that contain only mild ingredients like glycerin that help to keep dry skin at bay.

  1. Change Razor Blades Often:

If you use a razor to shave your face or limbs, a good skin care tip that would help you avoid dry skin is to change your razor blade often. Using old, rusty razor blades can irritate dry skin and also cause infection. Old razor blades are tougher on our skin and don’t let you have a close shave.

  1. Use A Good Sunscreen:

Since dry skin is already prone to wrinkles and aging, the sun can cause more damage. So, having a good sunscreen or sunblock on can help your skin look younger.

  1. Don’t Forget Your Lips:

Lips are especially prone to chapping, so use a lip scrub to exfoliate and nourish your lips. Even a homemade lip scrub with sugar and lemon is good. Apply lip balms after every few hours.

  1. Moisturize Your Hands And Feet:

Use gloves and socks in the winter season to protect your hands and feet from drying. Make sure to moisturize your hands and feet with scrubs and moisturizers.

So now you don’t need to worry about Dry Skin. Just enjoy the winter and follow these tips.
