This year, on the 2nd of October Gandhi Jayanti (Birth of Gandhi) the world will be able to see a teaser of ‘The Gandhi Murder’. The film is a full-length feature that questions the history and truth believed by billions of Indians. The film focuses on the beliefs and truths of Gandhi‘s death.
71 years after his tragic death at the hands of Hindu right-wing nationalist, Nathuram Vinayak Godse. Similarly, ‘The Gandhi Murder’ looks into the political events that led to the assassination that changed the future of Independent India. The movie will be released on 30 January 2019, which would be the 71st anniversary of the assassination.
It demonstrates the true events of the death of Gandhi and also a violent India against the non-violent Gandhi. It shows the mindset of the country’s separate and growing roots on the basis of religion.
The movie triggers the thoughts of government control and the history recorded. It shows that both the police and the Indian politicians were aware of the impending assassination.It even shows the key planners and demonstrates the act of the assassination as one by a plan to power a newly independent India.
‘The Gandhi Murder’ follows three senior police officers in different parts of India, showing the way in which Gandhi’s life was under threat. It displays the key decisions that would either save Mahatma Gandhi or the country.
