Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan Train Towards Legendary Action
Sword fighting, Action and everything sequenced. Two Bollywood legends, Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan learn new tricks for the action film!
Yash Raj Films Thugs of Hindostan is the release from Bollywood that everyone has been waiting for. The likewise biggest visual classic never before seen film will be out this Diwali! Rather than just an incredibly action filled film, it has an amazing cast by bringing together two Bollywood legends of Indian Cinema.
Amitabh Bachchan, being the fierce warrior (Khudabaksh) while Aamir Khan plays the wily and not trusted (Firangi). It will be the biggest release Bollywood has ever seen!
The film has jaw-dropping action sequences pulled off by both stars. They had to go through some rigorous and probably painful training before shooting the action filled scenes! Can you imagine having to train before and still pull off an entire action scene? Me neither. Guess we can leave that to the Bollywood legends!
Amitabh Bachchan weighed in on his training experience:
“So much before we actually went through these sequences. Viktor and Adi had said maybe you should train a bit. So, we are doing a lot of sword moments in the gym. There is a lot of action, whether it is jumping off a building, doing somersaults, diving, climbing up. These were all done live. If you have committed yourself to a project then I guess you have to put aside all the apprehensions and challenges and do what is being asked to do.”
Aamir Khan added his own experience as well:
“Just before I did Thugs, I did Dangal. Two of us (Fatima and I) were training for a year and a half in wrestling. You bend at the waist and stand as low as possible. So instinctively, I use to stand low so they had to try and get that out of me. A lot of initial training went into boxing, kicking, rolling and sword fighting. A lot of that was done, which gave the foundation for this film.”
The film also stars the beautiful, Katrina Kaif as the performer (Suraiyya) and Fatima Sana Shaikh as the daredevil (Zafira).
Yash Raj Film’s mega action entertainer, Thugs of Hindostan will be set to release November 8th. The day of the national holiday in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu!
