Stree : This Unique Thing By The Entire Team Is Something New

Dinesh Vijan’s Stree has roused immense intrigue amongst the audience with their horror-comedy right after the trailer.

The movie, which revolves around a true phenomenon, had the team bond extremely well during the course of the shoot. Stree starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, which was shot in a little over a month in Chanderi. The team comes up with various ideas to keep work fun. One of them was to have “Song of the day”!

 

As per the mood of the shoot each day, the team stree would decide on a song and would sing together before their scenes.

 

Director Amar Kaushik shared:

“I always had in mind that if I direct someday, the team’s day will start with ‘Song of the day’ instead of ‘Thought of the day’ – which is mentioned on the call sheet. So, every day we would decide a ‘song of the day’ basis the scene to be shot on that particular day, and before getting into the scene, we would all play the song and sing & sway along with it. This soon became the most loved activity by the team. Helped them bond well, and the bonding shows on the screen too.”

 

By the end of the shoot, each team member had a special playlist!

Dinesh Vijan presents Stree, a Maddock Films production in association with D2r films and Jio Studios. The horror-comedy starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor has been directed by Amar Kaushik and is set to release on 31st August 2018.
