Birthday Special: Be it Khilji Or Kabir – Ranveer Singh Is The King

Ranveer Singh Bhavnani a.k.a. the new Baba of Bollywood turns 33 today. The amazingly talented actor who is rumoured to be tying the knot with longtime girlfriend Deepika Padukone has been winning our hearts since the moment he came in front of the cameras in the 2010 hit Band Baaja Baaraat.

Ranveer Singh Birthday Special

Right from Bittu Sharma in his debut film to Alauddin Khilji in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed historic drama PadmaavatRanveer Singh has been winning hearts of the Indian as well as international audiences.

Today on the Ranveer Singh’s birthday we take a look at some of his most memorable performances:

Band Baaja Baaraat (2010)

In this 2010 rom-com co-starring Anushka Sharma, Bollywood got a new heartthrob. He made us fall in love with goody two shoes Delhi da munda Bittu. And there was no stopping him thereafter.

Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011)

In this 2011 romantic comedy – opposite Anushka yet again – we got to see many different avatars of Ranveer. In spite of playing a con master on screen who tricks girls, Ranveer still made his way deeper in our hearts.

Lootera (2013)

In this period romance film directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Ranveer once again played a con-man who in the end had a change of heart. His on-screen chemistry with Sonakshi Sinha made us gus all over him.

Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013)

His first collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the start of some amazing films by this duo. Ranveer made us feel the pain, the anguish as well as the love and betrayal with his stellar performance as Ram. Staring opposite Deepika Padukone, we bet many started shipping the couple from here

Gunday (2014)

We can just say one thing – the bromance between Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor was way much better than the romance between him and Priyanka Chopra. The actor established that he can have an amazing chemistry with any co-star.

Dil Dhadakne Do (2015)

Kabir a.k.a. Ranveer played Anil Kapoor’s son in this Zoya Akhtar dysfunctional family drama. His rapport with Priyanka Chopra (his sister here), Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar was amazing!

Bajirao Mastani (2015)

In this historical romance directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ranveer played Maratha Peshwa Bajirao. His performance as a Maratha warrior who faces betrayal at the hands of his mother and brother is truly heart touching.

Padmaavat (2018)

As Sultan Alauddin Khilji, Ranveer Singh out shined Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. His villainous behaviour, ego, anger, appearance and performance took us back to the bygone years. However scary he was on screen – WE LOVED HIM!
