Birthday Special: Peter Dinklage A.K.A Tyrion Lannister Dialogues That Prove What A Star He Is

It’s Peter Dinklage’s 49th birthday today. In case you live in a parallel universe where Game Of Thrones doesn’t exist I agree you won’t know who he is.

Peter plays the youngest Lannister sibling in this HBO drama. Most fondly (note the sarcasm) called the ‘Imp’ for his short stature and ugly – in the books – look, he makes up for these shortcomings with his intellects.

Today on the talented actor’s birthday, we list you a few of his famous quotes from the series that show what a bad-ass he is when it comes to things he cares about.

Take a look at these Peter Dinklage dialogues from HBO’s Game Of Thrones:

“Never forget what you are, the rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you.”

In the premiere of season one of the series, when Tyrion meet Jon (Kit Harrington) he gives him this advice. And this definitely work as he is giving it from experience.

“Death is so final, yet life is full of possibilities.”

Another Season 1 dialogue that proves Tyrion has a heart bigger than his siblings. We love you Tyrion cos even if you didn’t know exactly what the twins did, you yet made them nervous.

“I have a tender spot in my heart for cripples and bastards and broken things.”

After making a promise to Jon on the Wall, Tyrion arrived at Winterfell to help the second youngest Stark boy. His help in making Bran the saddle proved helpful in the young boy meeting Osha.

“We’ve had vicious kings and we’ve had idiot kings, but I don’t know if we’ve ever been cursed with a vicious idiot boy king!”

In Season 2, after assuming the throne Joffrey gives order to kill the citizens when they fling dung at him. By slapping – yes he slapped him in Season 1, but here he was the king of the seven kingdoms also – he tried getting the kids head in place and save the city from riots.

“Of course we are. Just because I pay you for your services doesn’t diminish our friendship.”

His friendship with Bronn is one of the most respected relationships he had in the early seasons. Tyrion, for the sake for all he has done for you please repay your debt by giving him the promised castle.

“I try to know as many people as I can. You never know which one you’ll need.”

When Shae – in case you don’t know her, she is the one who testified against Tyrion in Joffery’s murder trial and then slept with his father Tywin – asked him how he knows the other prostitute Rod, he gave this reply. This statement showed what a bright mind he has.

“Oh, “monster.” Perhaps you should speak to me more softly then. Monsters are dangerous and, just now, kings are dying like flies.”

When Joffrey calls him a monster after Robb Stark dying, this statement was one of the main reasons why Tyrion later got frames for the boy king’s murder. After all he did openly threaten the king in front of his counsel.

“It’s easy to confuse ‘what is’ with ‘what ought to be,’ especially when ‘what is’ has worked out in your favor.”

This conversation he had with the mother of dragons Dany, helped give her a direction in which to think and not just go about killing and conquering.

“Every time we deal with an enemy, we create two more.”

The show is full of wars – don’t ask me to remember them all. This statement he makes just shows how he chooses which battles to fight so that he doesn’t have many enemies.

“It’s not easy being drunk all the time. If it were easy, everyone would do it.”

Well we agree 100% with you Tyrion. If we drink a little too much we are out for the day and the next as well, but you drink and know thing.
