The trailer of Sanju was launched today in the presence of Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Rajkumar Hirani, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and others.
At the trailer launch,
when Rajkumar Hirani was asked if Vicky Kaushal is playing Salman Khan in the film, he said,
“Vicky is not playing Salman Khan in the film. Vicky is a mix of Sanju‘s friends and specifically, one friend called Paresh who stays in the US. Majority of Vicky’s characteristics and his personality is from Paresh’s life.”
Now we wonder if there’s anyone who’s actually playing Salman Khan in the film.
When the poster of Vicky Kaushal starring as Ranbir Kapoor’s friend in Sanju came out. It got a lot of people wondering if Vicky plays Salman Khan’s role in the film. Considering that Salman and Sanjay Dutt have shared a tumultuous relationship in the past. Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani has kept a portion in the movie which describes their complicated equation. Spilling the beans on that, Hirani, at the trailer launch of Sanju said, “There is a portion related to Salman Khan in the film. But Vicky Kaushal is not Salman!” Well, now we seriously hope that this will clear the air.
Talking about the trailer, Ranbir Kapoor has totally nailed it as Sanju baba! The film, which is a Sanjay Dutt biopic. Has a stellar cast and showcases the highs and lows of Baba’s life. Paresh Rawal and Manisha Koirala will be playing the roles of Sanjay Dutt’s parents, Sunil Dutt and Nargis. Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza also play pivotal parts in the film.
Ranbir Kapoor is known to have a knack for films that are extraordinary and Sanju is no exception to that. While the box office numbers haven’t worked very well in favour of the actor, he continues to experiment with the kind of role he portrays onscreen.
