Read out here:
- How did the collaboration between you and Abhishek Sharma happen?
I was looking out for something very different. One day I met Abhishek in the office and he gave me an idea about this. We wanted to do something special so we discussed and then came up with the idea of going ahead with this.
- How did you prepare yourself for this role?
Preparing the role mentally was very easy for me because I am a complete patriotic from the heart and because of I am patriotic playing this role was very special and came out easy.
- Is it difficult to portray real-life incidents onscreen?
Ya. It is actually very difficult. It is difficult because you get into right issues for example in Parmanu we couldn’t take Abdul Kalam’s name, Chidambaram’s name because of the simple reason that they are real people so we had to fictionalize those names in the movie.
- How was it working with Diana Penty?
She is jolly. It was wonderful working with her.
- Any memorable incident that you would like to share that took place while shooting the movie?
I think the only incident that happened on the shooting was it was really crazy hot. We were shooting under 55 degrees under those lights. But we were so well prepped on our production we actually finished shooting 2 days before including the fact that there were sandstorms that actually blew the set away.
- A particular scene or moment that moved you?
This film is for every person who loves his country. A scene where we were standing with real Indian Soldiers and were looking at the Indian flag, and we could hear the flag moving with the wind and then one Major suddenly said Salute and we had to salute it, that time we all actually had tears in our eyes. It was a beautiful moment. We fell that we are real heroes protecting our borders.
- Favorite dialogue from the movie?
“Humne Jo Socha Woh Desh Ki Liye Tha, Humne Jo Kiya Woh Desh Ke Liye Hai Aur Humne Jo Paaya Woh Desh Ka Hoga.”
And also there is one more beautiful dialogue. “Ab Hum Darr Ke Shaant Nahi Baithenge, Karke Shaant Baithenge”.
- What kind of roles challenge you the most?
If the scripts are interesting I would like to do it. My role in RAW- Romeo Akbar Walter is very challenging which I am shooting on the 10th of June.
- What’s next?
Satyameva Jayate releasing on 15th August, RAW will be releasing next year.
