If books could be real, we would love a lot of fictional stories to be lived in! Every book lover must be going crazy over this World Book Day, and we are one of them. An avid reader and a cinephile in me have always wanted a list of books to be made in movies, and as we celebrate the World Book Day today, I am here to share a list of books that I am dying to be made into movies, and provide an amazing celluloid experience, especially to those who prefer not wasting their time reading books, rather watch a 2 hour movie instead.

The Themis Files
This sci-fi trilogy has just blown my mind. The Themis Files, divided into three parts – Sleeping Giants, Waking God and Only Human – shares the story of a group of scientists who come across a robot, and how their life changes when the pages of the past open. The third book is yet to arrive, but wouldn’t it be great to watch this sci-fi on the silver screen?
Interpreter Of Maladies
Written by Jhumpa Lahiri, Interpreter of Maladies is a book of short stories, sharing some heart-wrenching tales of the characters, which you’ll surely fall for!
Looking For Alaska
John Green is known to weave magic from words. This man has left no stone unturned to take us on a mystical ride of love and the practical world at the same time. Eagerly waiting for this one to hit the silver screen ASAP!
The Dark Tower
We don’t need to elaborate why we need Stephen King‘s novels to be made into movies! His imaginary world has taken us to the world of possibilities since childhood, and we won’t mind watching every movie based on his every book! Hardcore Stephen King fan talking*
The Lowland
Again, a story by Jhumpa Lahiri, The Lowland released back in 2013 shares a story of two brothers, different personalities, and a political affair back then in the 1960s. This one is surely a page-turner.
Pnin
If you have read Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, this not much-discussed piece of literature is something you shouldn’t miss on reading. A story of a Russian professor living in the United States.
The Maddaddam Trilogy
While we fail to have a far-fetched sight even today, Margaret Attwood has written some great literary novels back then, one of which, The Maddaddam Trilogy will take you to the dystopic world of fantasy. The first part, Oryx and Crake, released in 2003, gave out the second book The Year of the Flood in 2009 ended with Maddaddam, which released in 2013.
Uglies Series
A young-adult genre, the Uglies Series shares the story of a post-apocalyptic future society where teenagers go through a surgery to look all pretty and adjust to the new age of being beautiful in the ugly world.
Eleanor And Park
A young-adult love story Eleanor and Park will strike the right chord with all the introverts out there. These little teenagers connect in a school bus, where they start sharing the same interests, end up with a sparkling love story,
