Umesh Shukla Said That He Wants To Make A Sequel But Not For The Money

102 Not Out starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor is set to release soon. We caught up with the director, Umesh Shukla for a group chat. Here’s what all he had to say,

Talking about a prequel/sequel of OMG! Oh My God, he said,

“Not only me, my actors and producers also want to make a sequel. But just for the sake of creating a frachise and for money… we don’t want to.”

He continued that only if they get a better script only then will they move forward with the sequel.

When asked which film is his favourite film featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor he said,

“Amar Akbar Anthony – all time hit. Kabhi Kabhi and Naseeb.”

Umesh ji shared a special moment from the sets. He said that they were shooting a scene that required Amitji to sleep while Rishi Kapoor comes in to see if he is doing well. He said that the scene was done by Amitabh didn’t wake up post that. When Umesh when ahead to wake Big B, Amitabh made a very sweet statement saying ,‘15-20 din mai I feel like this is my home.’

Umeshji shared his first experience with films.

He said that when he found a reel on the road and told all his friends to come to his place to watch the film for 25 paise. Hear the audio below to know it all:
