  1. How did you come up with Lado Rani?

Lado Rani was written by my good friend Ikka. He had played this song in front of me and I really liked it and I said, “Let me do this song” and Ikka said, “It was mine”. So he gave me the song which was very nice of him.

  1. How was it working with Mandy Takhar? How did this collaboration happen?

We have been good friends for a long time. She came to see me personally in my studio in London in 2013 or 2014 and we were looking for songs and I just happen to play Lado Rani and it was instantly the one that she wanted to work with.

  1. Do you have bad work days? Days in which you can’t work to your potential? How do you handle them?

I don’t have any bad days especially when it comes to my work. The worst thing that can happen to me is that I’m working really quick and my computer slows down, because sometimes I use very expensive plug inns and that takes a lot of time in processing, so it slows me down in that sense but that’s about it I don’t have Bad days at work, I quite enjoy it.

  1. The video looks fun and amazing. Whose idea was it?

The video wasn’t definitely my idea, but it was a fun day and it was directed by Gifty.

    5. What is your take on the remakes of old songs?

Provided it’s done with a certain standard and with a certain quality, I have no issue. As long as it doesn’t lose the old vibe but it kinda reinvents it, I don’t mind. I think it’s a good thing if somebody reinvents something in this day and age and if done in a clever way then it will be good. However, if they are picking up a song and doing it just for the sake of doing it and being famous then I think it’s a wrong move.

  1. Any old song that you would like to remake?

Not at the moment, I haven’t thought of any, there are loads of songs that I would like to do but I just don’t have time because I have my hands full with lots of new songs.

  1. What’s next?

Loads of stuff, I don’t stop, I ain’t gonna stop, I won’t stop that’s that.
