From a career in advertising, Aleya Sen is now all set to start her career in filmmaking with Dil Juunglee.
Speaking about her journey so far, Aleya said,
“My father is from advertising. So I knew what shooting is. Right from college, I knew that I would get into ad filmmaking which I eventually did. I started working very young with Shoojit Sircar. So my filmmaker journey started there and now this is a graduation to feature films. It wasn’t that I suddenly decided one day to become a filmmaker. I do plan my life and am a milestone person.”
As you might be aware, Dil Juunglee stars Taapsee Pannu and Saqib Saleem in the lead roles. When asked what she feels about the casting and not having big stars in her film, Aleya says,
“I will not say that Tapsee is not a big star. She is one of the most sought after actresses in the industry so far. Saqib is on his way and has not arrived yet. This question is more suited to the producers actually.”

The director also is a travel enthusiast.
“My plan B is always travelling. At times, when I don’t feel things are going the way I want to be, I travel. When I come back, I’m a completely different person. That’s a different thing I end up doing the same things again,”
she quips before signing off.
