Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan gave an unlikely gift to his fans by making his debut on Instagram, to celebrate his 53rd birthday on Wednesday.
The Dangal star has enjoyed a substantial following on both Facebook (15 million) and Twitter (23 million) before making his bow on the photo-sharing platform. But it took no time for more than 230 thousand fans to take note of his latest tryst with social media.

Aamir has already garnered over 238k followers in just a few hours. Aamir Khan has over 23 million followers on Twitter whereas he has 15 million likes on his Facebook page.
Mr Perfectionist’s first post was dedicated to a very special person, his mother Zeenat Hussain. Captioning it “The person because of whom I am who I am…” the actor posted a tile of nine images as his baby steps on Instagram.
His Dhoom 3 co-star Katrina Kaif was one of the recent A-listers from B-town to jump on the Instagram bandwagon. She has already clocked close to nine million followers and Aamir looks set to take a leaf from her book.
On the work front, Aamir Khan is busy shooting for Thugs of Hindostan at Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh and is slated for Diwali 2018 release.
