Today Sajid Nadiawala’s Baaghi 2 releases worldwide through Fox Star Studios, following its 2016 prequel. The rebel for love returns to our screens and is faced with searching for his ex-lover Neha’s (Disha Patani) child. On this quest, Ronnie (Tiger Shroff) delves deep into the underbelly of Goa, facing off against drug lords, menacing Russian henchmen, and bloodthirsty animals.
Here’s what you can expect from the movie:
THE ACTION:
The trailer, released in February at a special live-streamed event, shows Tiger Shroff looking ready to take on the world single-handed, with a calculating look in his eye and an impressive muscular physique. Much like his character Ronnie, it is clear that Shroff has learnt a lot since embarking on his Baaghi journey.
Both the trailer and poster give us a glimpse into the conflict that is to ensue. This one man army will be seen in situations that are more dangerous and extreme than ever before and is certain to set an even higher standard for action thrillers in Bollywood.
THE CAST:
With Tiger being the only cast member continuing on from the prequel, Baaghi 2 will see the gauntlet handed on to a brand new cast who are filled to the brim with talent. This includes leading lady Disha Patani (M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kung Fu Yoga), Prateik (Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, Dum Maaro Dum), Manoj Bajpayee (Satya, Gangs of Wasseypur) and Randeep Huda (Sarbjit, Highway).
THE CHEMISTRY:
From the trailer, it is clear that Tiger and Disha have undeniable chemistry as Ronnie and Neha. The pair previously starred together in Meet Bros ft. Aditi Singh Sharma’s ‘Befikra’ music video, and if this video (and the trailer) is anything to go by, you won’t want to take your eyes off of Neha and Ronnie whenever they’re on the screen.
THE MUSIC:
Baaghi 2 will be seen embracing a mixture of both old and new music. The soundtrack features remakes of the iconic ‘Mundiyan (To Bach Ke Rahi)’ and ‘Ek Do Teen’. The high-energy video for the latter was released on 18th March, and features Jacqueline Fernandez as ‘Mohini’. Bringing these classic songs to a new audience is sure to appeal to people of all ages.
