We all love seeing our favourite characters falling in love on-screen. We root for them and jump with glee when the two finally profess their love.
Producer of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Rajan Shahi admits that these sequences have always worked. He further says that a show is loved because of the chemistry between its lead pair.
“Today in television, a show is no longer centered around one person. If you see, all the top-rated shows are working because of the ongoing chemistry of the lead and the USP is and will always be, the romance. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has also got a major revival because of the romantic pairs of Kartik – Naira and Naksh – Kirti.”
Well, there is no doubt because of the top serials on TV have a romantic all through thick and thin.
Shahi adds that his show shows realistic romantic sequences, which seems to be working for them.
“The current track of YRKKH is very real because they are showing the differences between Kartik and Naira. It is a realistic track because every couple, no matter how much they are in love, have their differences. The budding love and romance between Naksh and Kirti is also being appreciated by the audience because both the love stories are very real.”
Shahi says that this trend to show realistic love sequences is being lapped up by the audience.
“Different types of love stories are being portrayed on television which are been appreciated by the audience.”
Ask him who his favourite on-screen couple is, and he says,
“I like Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor’s jodi. Whenever you see their songs on screen, the first image that comes to mind is romance.”
