Soha Ali Khan Introduces The Perils Of Being Moderately Famous In Delhi

Soha Ali Khan turned author with her debut book, The Perils of being Moderately Famous, which has received immense praise from readers across the country. After a star-studded launch in Mumbai, Soha launched the book in Delhi yesterday along with her mother Sharmila Tagore. The event was held at Bikaner House, the perfect heritage setting for the royal family to unveil the book and interact with the Delhi audiences.

The book, published by Penguin Randomhouse India, is a collection of Soha’s personal essays where she recounts, with self-deprecating humour, what it was like growing up in one of the most illustrious families of the country.

In conversation with Barkha Dutt, the event saw Soha speak about her journey writing this book and how she has expressed her personal experiences and her mother reveal some interesting details about Soha’s growing up years. The book also carries unreleased images of her family and childhood, along with a few images of her adorable baby daughter Inaaya. From endearing characteristics of her father to her mother’s illustrious family tree, her relationships and her struggle with writing, Soha’s debut novel is a breezy and riveting read, full of insights and humour. Her entire family came together to bring the book to life at the launch here in Mumbai a while ago.

 Soha Ali Khan commented:

“I’m very excited that the book has received such a great response, it’s extremely encouraging for a first-time author! I’ve had so much fun writing it – and to be published by Penguin is very cool.”

Sharmila Tagore commented:

“Soha has always been great at speaking and writing, so it came as no surprise when she told me she wanted to pen this book. It’s a great read and I’m glad the readers have loved it.”

The Perils of Being Moderately Famous is now available at multiple bookstores across the country.
