Gulshan Grover and his son Sanjay Grover team up together for a Film based on stone pelter Afshan Ashiq from Kashmir, whose only aim in life is to play football for the Indian team and make India proud. The film goes on the floor early next year.
The film is being written by Saiwyn Quadras of Mary Kom & Neerja fame and will be directed by Manish Harishanker who was the chief AD to Rajkumar Santoshi in Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani & Phata Poster Nikla Hero.
Sanjay started working in Hollywood film studio MGM as a Producer and he was personally hired by MGM Chairwoman Motion Pictures Worldwide Marry Parent as Director Special Projects. Sanjay worked in different capacities including as Film Producer in MGM’s films such as James Bond, Spy kids, Hot Tub Machine etc. under the direct guidance of Chairwoman Mary Parent.
Sanjay then collaborated in distribution with President Distribution at MGM studios Lopez, in Finance with CFO finance Bedi Singh.
Recently, Afshan Ashiq also met the CM of J&K Mehbooba Mufti, for her blessings as the film is being made on her life.
