Vicky Kaushal is all set to spend the coming year at the box-office. The actor already has three confirmed and announced films releasing in the first half of next year. Recently, he wrapped up Meghna Gulzar‘s Raazi with Alia Bhatt, releasing in May next year. The others are Raju Hirani‘s The Dutt biopic, and Love Per Square Foot.
Soon he will begin shooting for his next, Uri. Uri is based on the Indian surgical strike to be directed by Aditya Dhar.
Now, adding another film to his list is Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan. The film which was earlier meant to be made, is now being made as a completely new film. Sources say that Manmarziyaan has a new script which has been crafted under the supervision of the director Anurag himself.
Interestingly this would be the second time Vicky Kaushal would be collaborating with Anurag after his amazing performance in the directors Raman Raghav 2.0. In Raman Raghav, he played the dark role of a cop living on the edge chasing a serial killer on the loose played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
This time though, the subject is much lighter in form of a romantic film. We hear Vicky is the first male lead signed. The lookout for the other male lead of the film is still on and the film will go on floors early next year. It would be interesting to see the pairing of Taapsee and Vicky together on screen, definitely two names from the young brigade of actors who have proven their mettle as actors early on.
