Sandeep Bhargava is a man who dons many hats. He’s currently serving as:

Ask him how he managed to be at so many positions and he says,
“Post Viacom, where I used to head one company, I realised that there is an opportunity in the market where a lot of actors are setting up their production houses. They understand creativity very well but they do not understand the business side – at what stage to take the film to a studio for funding, where to get the funding from, how to structure the funding. So I started exploring that opportunity. Sanjay Dutt Productions happened as soon as I quit Sahara. Similarly I realised there are a lot of companies who need advice and consultancy to scale up, after reaching a point. So similarly B4U happened where I came on board as Consulting President. Over a period of time, Coconut pictures happened, where they wanted to get into film distribution. They did not know the business. I came on board and set up a team. And now we have distributed 7-8 films already. During the same time, conversations stared with Priyanka Chopra and she needed someone to head the company and structure it. So Priyanka happened. Similarly, TOP Entertainment happened, where they had the licenses in place to launch television channels. But they didn’t know one – where to get the funding from and what kind of channel to launch. Two – they didn’t know what kind of opportunity is there in the market. So I came on board as co-founder and CEO of the company. So honestly, it’s been organic. And yes, I have been getting assignments one after the other, one leading to another. And it’s a model that’s working for me currently.”
When asked if there’s any conflict of interest, Sandeep says,
“There’s no conflict of interest because if you see the kind of films Sanjay wants to do and the kind of films Priyanka wants to do are very different. Same goes with channels. Having been in the business for 27 years, I have the maturity to handle if there is a conflict.”
