5 reasons to watch Firangi this Friday

Firangi Kapil Sharma

Kapil Sharma is coming back as ‘Firangi’! Kapil created a lot of buzz earlier this year cause of his TV show. He is now ready with his second Bollywood film ‘Firangi’ and his fans couldn’t be more excited for its release! Kapil is most popular for his TV show, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. The show however went through a lot of ups and down. But now the actor has shifted his focus completely on his upcoming release, so, this movie is as important to him as it is for his fans.

Anyways, the movie gives out good vibes, and so we list down 5 reasons why ‘Firangi’ must be on your to-do list this weekend:

  1. Kapil Sharma’s different avatars

The name Kapil Sharma is synonymous with stand-up comedy. Kapil, who is known for his humour and comic timing till date, has now explored more in terms of acting with ‘Firangi’. Manga, played by Kapil, goes through heartbreak and serious situations, obviously along with his comic sense, in the movie. This is a new and looks promising.

  1. Set in the bygone era, with a very earthen feel

‘Firangi’ literally means foreign. But after looking at Kapil Sharma’s movie trailer, we get a very rural and homely feeling. Plus there’s Amitabh Bachchan’s voice as a narrator. What more do you need?

  1. The music

‘Firangi’ has all kinds of music, right from a happy track ‘Oye Firangi’ to the dance number ‘Sajna Sohne Jiha’. It even has an emotional song ‘Sahiba Russ Gaiyya’ and a mujra ‘Gulbadan’ to cater to every mood.

  1. A different concept

We have seen many Bollywood movies of the British era. However ‘Firangi’ might actually be the first time when an Indian is favouring the British. The movie is about his (Manga aka Kapil Sharma’s) perspective.

  1. The innocence remains intact

Right from the start of the trailer, you get to know that Manga aka Kapil is super innocent, who believes that the British are good people. This innocence remains intact even when he’s in love or simply fighting for what he feels is right. This is a quality rarely seen these days. It’s refreshing to see such a thing in ‘Firangi’.
