Spread the love

The versatile and evergreen Rekha gave us many memorable films in which she played the leading lady. But here, we list the roles she played in supporting the leading actors/actresses. Even if her appearance was for barely 5mins, she managed to steal the show.

So read on to know her top performances in supporting others:

Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi (1996)

As the criminal don Maya, Rekha proved that even if she plays a grey character she can shine. Rekha received the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award as well as the Star Screen Award Best Villain for this film.

As the teacher who teaches Kama Sutra – the ancient art of seduction and love making, – Rekha shone and helped both the leading ladies (one directly and the other indirectly) understand life better.

Lajja (2001)

She only has a minimum time on screen but she still manages to captivate the audience with her stellar performance as the midwife Ramdulaari. The scene in which she is burnt alive still hurts.

Koi… Mil Gaya (2003)

We all remember Rekha as Mrs. Mehra, the mother of a mentally disabled child (Hrithik Roshan). The manner in which she brings him up as a single parent is commendable.
