Ali Fazal to do a biopic in Hollywood?

 

Actor Ali Fazal will soon be seen in Victoria and Abdul – his first Hollywood film in the lead. The film releases in India on 13th October where Ali plays the titular role of Abdul Karim a servant in the service of the Queen of England.

While on his world premiere international tour for Victoria and Abdul, Ali met with a few directors and stars in Hollywood. According to sources, Ali is said to be in talks with a Hollywood director for a biopic role. This will be the first time an Indian actor will be featured in a Hollywood biopic.

Ali is unwilling to divulge details but admits that he has met a filmmaker to discuss an international project, a biopic, even before he signed up with WME.

“It will hopefully roll in 2018. I can’t elaborate further as I am yet to sign on the dotted line,”

the actor informed, adding that the world is becoming a smaller place with the market really opening up.

“Filmmakers are experimenting with unique topics and I want to grab these opportunities and not get typecast.”
