Here is some great news for actor Arjun Bijlani’s fans. The heartthrob of the television world will be seen playing the role of a diehard romantic in the new thriller ‘Ishq Mein Mar Jawan’ (produced by Yash Patnaik under his production house Beyond Dreams), which went on air recently on Colors.
The actor, who has been part of shows such as Left Right Left, Miley Jab Hum Tum and Naagin, says,
“My character’s name is Deep Raichand and he is a very rich, good looking and shrewd businessman, who owns a tea estate. He is very manipulative and whatever he desires for, he achieves it. At the same time, he is also a die-hard romantic and romances in a very different and mature way. Deep, falls in love and the show is about what this love makes him do.”
The concept and storyline are very different and Arjun says that he has never been part of such a show.
“I have gone out of my comfort zone and am doing such a different role for the first time. All I can say at this point is that we are showing something really shocking in the show, which everyone will realize after a few episodes. Usually you will see typical saas-bahu drama but this is quite different. Producer Yash Patnaik is known for making amazing content. The show is edgier and bolder. It is not that typical romantic show but something very different for the audience to watch. It is a complete package.”
After being part of such meaningful show sin the past, Arjun says that it’s tough to say which show meant the most as all of them are close to his heart.
“Actor’s life is dependent on viewers. I feel the audience decides the fate of a show. Every phase of my life has been so different. When I was part of Left Right Left, I felt that this is the turning point in my life. Then I did a show called Miley Jab Ham Tum, where I played a completely different character. Then, I bagged Naagin and Meri Ashiqui, which were path breaking. I guess at each stage God has blessed me with good work, which feels amazing.”
Talking about future plans, Arjun says he wants to do a web series.
“I would love to do a web series. There are some amazing series that have come up and the concept are incredible. I think it’s a bold move to be part of these shows and I really want to try my hand at one.”
