Hearing of a Leopard being spotted in Filmcity was very exciting for me, as I love big cats. In Delhi, I have three cats and a couple of dogs, who live at my farm. I got a glance of a leopard and it was a wonderful experience.

We are entering their zone and not the vice-versa. People should understand the importance of wildlife. Let them be in their surroundings. If we enter their home, then it’s an obvious thing that they will enter ours. I have never ever encountered this situation.

This is very dangerous for human lives and once they taste the blood of a human being, it will be very difficult for them to stop. I remember when I was shooting for Tere Liye, we had encountered a leopard on our set and he had picked up a dog that day. Although we had barricades, they used to dig up the area beneath the barricade and come inside the set. That’s why it’s very risky for us to shoot there. Unfortunately, Borivali National Park is connected to Filmcity. Actually, it’s their area, their home and we have invaded their privacy, so attacks are bound to happen.

We are shooting in their area, so the way we get scared of them, they are also scared of us. This one time, it was late at night and my cousin had come to pick me. I saw one leopard crossing the road, but he did not do anything. I did not get out of the car till it felt safe. We should give them space so they don’t have a problem and many lives can be saved.

I was excited to hear about the leopard in Filmcity. I honestly wanted to see it. I am not scared, I am actually an animal and wildlife lover, so I would have been excited to spot it. Precautions should be taken by the forest officers to ensure proper fencing so that they don’t get inside.

Yes, I have been listening to this kind of news from the last many years. My friends and crew members used to tell me but I never believed them. But this time when I saw this in the news, I realized how serious it was. I’m scared. It’s a very big risk. It’s a matter of life and death. We should talk to forest officer panel and some safety measures should be adopted.

I wasn’t too surprised by it because I have known the existence of these wild animals in and around the area for a long time. I don’t fear animals at all because they are totally harmless until threatened. I have lived half my life amongst them in the jungles of the north east and have had absolutely no reason to believe they cause any harm.

My reaction was very normal. I am not scared because I have experienced this thing in the past. Many years back, when we were shooting for Koi Apna Sa, we were having our tea break, when a leopard came. But he did not do anything, he simply pounced on the dog, who was there. I also had a similar experience when we were shooting for CID. So, this thing does not scare me.

Leopard is my favorite animal so my first reaction was excitement! Leopards only attack when provoked or when they feel cornered. I think it’s not us that should be scared. Humans are a threat to leopards in most cases! However, when you see a leopard, it is advisable not to get too close to it and avoid taking pictures or selfies.

Oh god, I got goosebumps all over my body when I heard about it because it refreshed my memory of shooting for Shaandar climax when we got to experience leopard. I still remember how scared we all were and ran to our vans.
