South Africa : Zakeeya Patel takes on Hollywood! Zakeeya Patel has been dreaming of going to Hollywood since she was a little girl! Her dream of playing in the biggest entertainment industry in the world is about to become a reality as she leaves in December to take her shot at Hollywood.
Zakeeya Patel is a South African actor, presenter and producer best known for her roles in Isidingo; the movie, ‘Material’; the award-winning South African series ‘The Wild’ and ‘High Rollers’.
She is the champion of the sixth season of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and has appeared on shows such as ‘Scandal’, ‘The Docket, ‘Skwizas’, ‘7de Laan’, ‘Mzansi Love’ and ‘Sokhulu and Partners’. She is also the host of SABC’s popular Eastern magazine show, Mela. 2019 has seen Zakeeya feature on the crime thriller,
The Docket; feature in the big screen film, 3 Days To Go; the dark Showmax drama, The Girl From St Agnes and she plays a damsel in distress in SA’s first Netflix offering, Shadow. With the big move on the horizon, she has slowly wrapped up work in SA however SA audiences will soon catch her on the big screen in the 2020 release of Material. 2.
