Navin Kundra Brings The Heat in Cape Town South Africa
UK heartthrob songwriter, musician and actor Navin Kundra performed in Cape Town South Africa. It was phenomenal! Ebrox Entertainment presented Capetonians with an amazing initiative towards cancer awareness. The show took place on Saturday, 16 March 2019. It included the legendary Navin Kundra, Shay Ramji and the Dilkash Band! Hence, the excitement! We could not wait to see what these artists had to offer the mother city!
Above all, the initiative came from Ebrox Entertainment promoters Ali Ebrahim, Atawullah Sonday and Nazier Ebrahim . Nazier unfortunately lost his wife to cancer. It was her dream to raise funds towards a cancer initiative. Thus, the proceeds went towards the cancer initiative CHOC, Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa.
The stunning Shay Ramji opened the show with some HOT numbers that left everyone wanting more! She graced the stage in a beautiful white evening gown and such an angelic voice. Shay has performed on many platforms and hails from South African soil! Similarly, she has shared the stage with artists such as Sonu Nigam, Salim Suleiman, Neha Kakkar, Vidya Vox and so many more. She has traveled worldwide and made many South Africans proud of her success! Shay sang a few duets with Navin as well such as Chura Liya Hai. It had my father jumping for joy! In the words of my father “WOW!”.
Navin Kundra came in with such fire, opening up with Bachna Ae Haseeno. Navin gave such a phenomenal performance. He entertained the crowd with some hindi classics, western music and punjabi music. Similarly, he performed some of his hit singles, Tere Liye and Mehbooba! Talk about a performance for the royal family! He had the mother city waving their hands all over the place! He was so eloquent and filled with energy. We most certainly had our eyes glued to the stage!

Navin had us singing the entire evening and surely kept the Bollywood spirit alive in us this weekend! The most outstanding part of his performance were the tributes. Navin sang tributes to Bollywood legends such as Mukesh, Kishore Kumar and Mohammad Rafi. It’s safe to say that carrying tissues were worth it! Tears were flowing as he brought so much of emotion on the stage. His voice brought back memories for many. His vocal range is INCREDIBLE! It left me speechless just being able to observe such an amazing performance from one individual.
The Dilkash Band
The Dilkash band was pure magic! The guitarist had everyones attention. They were exceptional! The timing, the solos and the never ending vibrant skill! They knew exactly what the crowd wanted and they delivered!
Navin was joined by the Nateshwar Dance Academy. They performed Dilbar and were backup dancers during some of his acts. They were dressed so vibrantly and surely had some hip power on the stage. Honestly, we admired their energy and the effort put into their choreography. It was tolerable for the evening although more practice might be needed. It caused some distraction as some of them were not aligned at times. They made the most of it though! Great effort!
Furthermore, the show was exceptional. The band, the setup, the organizers, the musicians. It was phenomenal and we were so grateful to be able to support our talented artist, Navin Kundra. He surely is a triple threat! He has the looks, the voice , endless talent and the dance moves! This show was for an amazing cause as well which made us so proud. The proceeds were stated to be going towards Cancer initiatives which is such an important cause and we are so pleased that awareness was created around it. Big thanks to Ebrox Entertainment for their hospitality. They really did an extraordinary job with this show.
