Kabadi... Kabadi... Kabadi... Dabang Delhi ends Bengaluru run on a high note!

Although the western world is pretty unfamiliar with the sport Kabadi, it is one of the most popular sports in India! Kabadi is a contact sport based on wrestling that originated in early India. Players take a breath and keep repeating the phrase “kabadi” as they try to score on the other side. They must return back to their own side without taking another breath. Due to its popularity, India has a professional Kabadi league. August 25th, Dabang Delhi scored an impressive 43 against the Puneri Paltan’s 22 at the Kanteerava stadium, Bengaluru! Fans in the stadium were left in awe as Dabang Delhi displayed incredible grit with daring raids and highly effective anti-raids throughout the match.

Viewers say the game was one to watch! The intimidating wall of the Dabang Delhi defense tactfully thwarted consecutive raid attempts by the Puneri Paltan. By half time, Dabang Delhi scored 2 all outs and stood at a towering 20 over the Puneri Paltan’s 10. The Dabang Delhi defense held firmly together by Ravinder Singh and Amit Singh exhibited extraordinary kabadi skills throughout the match. Dabang Delhi Captain Jasmer Singh is currently the League’s best defender, with over about 39 raid points to his credit. Having taken the lead by 10 points while holding Pune down to a 0, Dabang Delhi got a firm grip on the game within the first 10 minutes of the match.

Dabang Delhi’s star raider Kashiling Adake appeared in all his glory tonight, with a grand opening like he has not shown in the Pro Kabadi League so far. Dabang Delhi Captain Jasmer Singh said,

“I am very thankful to my team members, coach and sponsors for bringing us this far. It was a great game tonight. Kashiling Adake is India’s star player and tonight we all saw his real game. As a team, we made some mistakes and we have learned a lot from them. We have all grown from this experience.”
