Okay US and UK bhangra fans it’s time for a panga! New York based Doctor and singer Biba Singh is all set to release a hot bhangra collaboration with one of the UK’s hottest producers, Dipps Bhamrah. The track is cutely titled “Panga Facebook Da” and is a song every couple will relate to! If you love bhangra, there is no doubt that this song will become a favorite of yours for any dance offs! The track’s funny quirky lyrics by Amrit Mangwalia reflect the funny stresses of Facebook in your relationships. To top it off, the video is directed by the man with the “AVS”-touch, Raju Sethi, who has conceptualized the music video wonderfully. Biba Singh manages to juggle two careers – medicine and music! She was born and raised in New York and has always been passionate about Indian culture and music. She grew up singing Shabad Kirtan at the local Gurudwara from a young age. The King of Bhangra himself, Daler Mehndi, spotted her talent and advised her to take her singing career seriously. It was her dear family friend Mika Singh who launched her first album “BIBA” by worldwide records in 2011 and her second album “Biba for You” was launched by the legendary Bollywood king Bappi Lahiri. Some of her successful releases include “Nachne da Cha” and “Akhian” that were released by moviebox. Following up such success, this doctor is set to prescribe her music medicine to the international market. In fact, she is readying for a single launch with DJ Shadow Dubai and Taz of Stereo Nation, and is even shooting her next music video already!
Dipps Bhamrah is a well-known UK music producer, who has been responsible for some smash hit anthems through his career. He’s not only a talented DJ but also hosts his own Punjabi show on the BBC Asian Network, which strengthens his knowledge about music and the Punjabi scene. The song, “Panga Facebook Da” will be releasing under Bhamrah’s own UK based record label Generasian Records.
Speaking about the international project, Bhamrah told us,
“Biba is a talented singer, she’s got a different vibe. We have kept the track catchy and fun, it’s got that UK Bhangra feel to it. This song’s vision, concept and story-line was designed by renowned PR Guru Nisha Sahdev”.
Now, we will have to just wait for the official panga to take place as the track releases 28 August 2014 on Generasian Records! Keep it locked to Urban Asian!
