Trivia: Everyone from Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor to Kangana Ranaut and Chitrangada Singh have auditioned for a role in Fast and Furious 7 but Ali Fazal can’t stop stressing that his role in Fast and Furious 7 is ‘only a 2 to 3 scene cameo’ and even jokes that ‘it could well be edited out of the finished film…these things are known to happen’. He’s not considering this his Hollywood debut! So humble, even those little scenes are a big step!

Biography:

Ali Fazal, the Indian actor was born on the 15th of October in the year 1986 at Mumbai. He did his schooling from the prestigious Doon School situated in Dehradun. Ali Fazal appeared on the small screen in various television commercials for Micromax Mobile, Pizza Hut, Slice, Union Bank of India and LG.

Ali Fazal is into theater and he performs plays at the Prithvi theater situated in Juhu, Mumbai. Renowned director, Rajkumar Hirani once attended Ali Fazal’s stage performances and he was greatly impressed by the talent possessed by this youngster. Soon enough he made the decision of casting Ali Fazal in his upcoming film, 3 Idiots. Here Fazal starred alongside some of the eminent names of the film industry like Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Boman Irani. 3 Idiots was a huge commercial success and it helped Ali Fazal come into the limelight. In this film, he donned the role of an engineering student by the name of Joy who’s death is an important turning point in the film. Soon after the success of 3 Idiots, he was selected by superstar Shahrukh Khan’s own production house, Red Chillies Entertainment for a role in their upcoming film, Always Kabhi Kabhi. Always Kabhi Kabhi was directed by Roshan Abbas and had Ali Fazal, Zoa Morani and Giselli Monteiro in the lead roles. This film although expected to be a huge success, failed to do well at the box office. Despite the film not doing well, the performance of Ali Fazal was greatly appreciated by the critics and was often cited to be “The Next Big Thing to Watch Out For”.

2013 Ali Fazal’s comedy film called Fukrey was released. The film was directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and starring Vishakha Singh, Richa Chadda, Priya Anand, Ali Fazal, Pulkit Samrat and Manjot himself. Baat Bann Gayi, directed by Shuja Ali is another upcoming film of his. This film which released 28th June, 2013 stars Ali Fazal, Anisa, Gulshan Grover, Razzak Khan and Amrita Raichand in its cast crew. For 2014, Fazal has signed up for Saeed Akhtar Mirza’s erotic thriller, Ek Tho Chance starring Purab Kohli, Amrita Arora, Vijay Raaz, Pawan Malhotra, Vinay Pathak, Ali Fazal, Rajat Kapoor and Ashwini Kalsekar. He is also is working on Bobby Jasoos, which also stars Vidya Balan, and Sonali Cable for 2014. He’s also got a small cameo in Fast and Furious 7!
