Out today - Juggy D feat The Truth! Okhe Pound!

International Punjabi star Juggy D teams up with Asian rapping sensation The Truth to bring you “Okhe Pound.” The track showcases a more pensive Juggy D and explores the issues that immigrants face when they come to the UK thinking that it’s an easy place to make money. Then reality sets in and on arrival they discover the hard truths about life – that the streets are not paved with gold!

The track is written by Gurjeet Singh, Juggy D &The Truth and produced by Mentor who has remixed various international stars including Missy Elliot and Craig David. “Okhe Pound” is sure to make people listen, think and talk.

Juggy D is widely regarded as one of the most influential Punjabi artists in the UK. He is the first Punjabi vocalist to make a dent in the UK’s mainstream and has featured on tracks by Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, Craig David, Mary J Blige, Jay Sean, Missy Elliot and Timbaland. He has also featured on a number of Bollywood tracks, appeared on MTV Base Lounge and co-presented a weekly The Rishi Rich Project radio show on London’s Kiss 100.

Last year July saw the debut of an unknown talent called The Truth. Rapping with such eloquence and commanding presence, he was an instant favourite with listeners and radio DJ’s alike. One year on and The Truth has gone leaps and bounds and in such a short period this new talent has already graced the stages of some of the most infamous events such as Glastonbury, Wembley Stadium, Maida Vale plus a handful of Melas across the country with his eclectic live band and has even had one of his tracks Make ‘Em Say playlisted on bbc radio 1..

Juggy D fans will be delighted that he has a new single out, but I’ve got news that will make you more elated. Juggy D’s new album will be released in a few months! The Truth is also prepping for an EP release. Juggy D is also working on a couple projects with American artists (more details to be revealed as we get them!) Before album launch, The Truth will be releasing a single called “Jaan Jayegi”
