Our one and only “Tabla Girl”, Tina Sugandh, has broken into the top ten video charts on MTV Logo. This is a pretty big breakthrough for an Indian artist (and actually for any artist!). We at Urban Asian are very proud of Tina’s achievement and hope you will all continue to vote “So Good” up the charts.
At the tender age of 15, Tina was discovered by Sean Harris, a screenwriter and creative mentor. Since then, she has steadily grown in popularity. Tina has written and recorded over 60 songs!
In 2008, Tina’s remix of “Break Me” reached #4 on the Billboard Dance Chart and the song was also featured prominently on the premiere episode of the new “Melrose Place” series. 2009 also proved an interesting year for Tina as she collaborated with Beatles’ drummer, Ringo Starr on his album titled “Why Not”.
The momentum only intensified after 2009, as Tina became the latest artist to join the Timbaland family. In 2010, Tina released the song “So Good” featuring Fat Joe under this Timbaland label. It is this catchy new tune that has broken into the Top 10 at MTV Logo all thanks to the votes of fans and viewers.
