There are no boundaries when it comes to music, so it is no surprise that sensational London-based singer, Gurinder Seagal, was signed to a label in India! The singer has been signed to Mumbai-based Sony Music India with his infectious new track ‘Tequila‘ (Massa Massa), which effortlessly fuses Punjabi lyrics with R&B beats. Highlighting his talents, Gurinder wrote, composed, and sang the song himself. ‘Tequila’ was programmed by Ramzi and further mixed and mastered by the Mumbai based music maestro Bharat Goel.
Although he was raised in London, this multi-talented artist (the mastermind behind the hits ‘Smile‘ with Ramzi and ‘Dilruba‘) was born in New Delhi. His dream of releasing his music in his homeland has officially come true! ‘Tequila‘, having been out for just one week, has already been labelled as the ‘hottest club banger of the year’ in India! The song is now featured on the regional iTunes charts in North India above global acts including Honey Singh!
About the success, Gurinder tells us:
“I grew up in London but still have a huge love for India and my understanding of both cultures really help and allows me to create music that gels here and in India. Tequila was written and composed as a way of taking a piece of the British Punjabi club scene into India and it’s working really well.”
Gurinder is an all-round entertainer, plays a large range of instruments and has been performing on stage since childhood. He’s engaged with over 30,000 strong crowds at Trafalgar Square and has been the opening act for Sunidhi Chauhan and Diljit Dosanjh. He’s worked alongside one of Jay Sean’s producers (Alan Sampson), Zoheb Khan and many others.
Gurinder is currently in India and is set to release his album with Sony Music India. Having only been there for a few number of months, he’s already performed at a number of venues for audiences of over 100,000 people at a time.
