Music What's Happenin'

Ask D-Boy if he's got a tune for the summer, his answer? "I Do"

Whilst the world of music has been charging forward with EDM, D-Boy has gone against the grain yet again and returned with one of his most soulful tracks of 2014. The singers in this case are also the songwriters, both of whom strayed from their busy lifestyles in the music business to bring you this track. Sharifa Shi last released ‘Cry’ with So Solid MC Swiss in 2008, while Sef was heard singing about a certain girl who may ‘Need A Hero’. Both artists finally collaborated, and wrote a song about the meaningful devotion of two people in a relationship.

Sef goes on to say:

“The song is about each person describing how they feel for one another and reaffirming their commitment to that genuine feeling”

Although locked down with his Label, Beatcircle, D-Boy made sure this song would be his first release from Playback Volume 2, the highly anticipated follow up due out later this year. D-Boy stated:

“I am so proud of this one; it’s been in the back of my mind for so many months, and I was waiting for the right time to release. I’m sure the fans are going to love this track and songs from artists like Rekha Sawhney and Apeksha Dandekar, as well as an instant classic from everyone’s new favourite band The107. I’m hoping there will be a few proposals and weddings from hearing the single ‘I do’, so make sure I get a shout out for that please!”

The new music video directed by Cre8ivVision features some of D-Boy’s favorite London Landmarks such as the Peace Pagoda in Battersea Park, Chelsea Bridge, and Kings Road, all iconic places from his childhood till this day. The studio sequences were shot at London’s famous Metropolis Recording studios in Chiswick and features Sharifa Shi in the booth. Keep it locked for more updates!
