Hyderabad based designer Althea Krishna is excited to exhibit her new line at Lakme Fashion Week S|R from 1st – 5th February 2017 at Jio Garden, BKC, Mumbai. The collection “Brazaleta” is inspired by the poem “Bangle Sellers” by the Nightingale of India, Smt. Sarojini Naidu. Bangles bring joy in a women’s life that depicts her strength, love, compassion, purity, glory and freedom. In this collection the vivid colors in a woman’s life are exemplified.
The design philosophy behind this collection is an attempt to glorify and impose the vibrant colors of bangles on a fabric that twirls around a woman to enhance her feminine beauty.

Althea Krishna is an Indian fashion designer from Hyderabad. Since 2012, she has been selling designer clothing using the label “Althea Krishna”. She has completed fashion diploma from Hamstech Institute, Hyderabad. She has created niche for herself in fusion, contemporary and bridal wear using exquisite Indian embroidery leveraging Gota, Mirror, Zardosi, Bead and Thread work. Her finesse comes from quality of materials used; care she takes to pick right fabric weaved in perfect color combination that brings out the best in the woman wearing it. She comes up with timeless fashion for pret, bridal wear and couture.
