#SmoothieSunday: Join the Green Tea trend with a Green Tea Smoothie!


It’s that time of the month again where we bring you a delicious new smoothie recipe to try! We hand pick these recipes so that they are easy to make, healthy and of course delicious! This month we have a Green Tea Smoothie! Green Tea actually contains nutrients that will improve your health, improve brain functions without leaving you “jittery” like coffee does, help you lose weight and can lower your risk of cancer, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen Bananas
  • 1/2 cup of stemmed and torn kale
  • 1 cup unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1/3 cup of silken tofu
  • 1/4 cup of chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup of avocado
  • 1/4 cup of cold green tea
  • ice

Directions:

Gather all your ingredients which can easily be found at your local supermarket. Take you blender and add in 1 cup of frozen banana’s, 1/2 cup of stemmed and torn kale, 1/3 cup of silken tofu, 1/4 cup of chopped celery and 1/4 cup of avocado. Blend well until the ingredients have softened. Brew a 1/4 cup of strong, cold green tea. Add the green tea, ace and almond milk to the blender. Blend, pour and enjoy!
