Aanand L. Rai can't travel without his personal chef?

It is often said that home cooked meals are the best meals and this rings so true for director, Aanand L. Rai, who is an avid food-lover. It came as no surprise when Rai decided to take his personal chef along with him to London for the shooting of the sequel to Tanu Weds Manu.

A source close to Rai said, “London has many places that serve Indian food, but Aanand sir loves home-cooked food. As he will be on a long schedule in London, he didn’t want him and his cast and crew to miss home-cooked food.”

“There have been occasions when the cast of his films have shared his food as they didn’t like what was being served on the sets,” adds the source. Rai is known in the industry for his love for food. Danush, who had worked with Rai in Raanjhanaa had once said, “Aanand loves food so much that he often talks to his food saying, ‘I love you, but I will have to eat you’.”

Rai confirmed the news and added, “Right food and right casting makes me happy, so yes, my cook will be traveling with me. Rai’s chef will travel to London for a month-long shoot of Tanu Weds Manu Returns. The film stars the gorgeous Kangana Ranaut and the talented R. Madhavan.
