There are plenty of pageants that take place these days, but there are very few that are truly of high quality. Since the last 4-years, the “Runway Princess” pageant has grown in popularity. This year, the event took place on 15th November at the Heart of the Manhattan at Hotel Pennsylvania. The Red Carpeted Event was organized by “New Talent Hunter” in collaboration with “Media Revolution”, promoted by InstaEvents and backed by renowned Video production company “AA Film Studio”. Visionary and Founder of Runway Princess Adnan Khawaja and Young entrepreneur Sapna Patel, who also has strong knowledge about fashion, took the fashion show and pageant event to the next level. With “Runway Princess 2014” they set a very high benchmark for others and set high expectation for themselves as well.
International models from many countries and diverse cultures participated and competed with each other in this show. Celebrities like Neha Sharma, Rasika Shekhar, Noman Khalid, Irtiza Rubab (aka Meera) and Salman Ahmed (Muscle Mania World Championship runners up) added to the glam factor of the night. TV Channels like TV Asia, ARY Digital, TV One, TV 9, TV 84, and B4U Entertainment were present to capture the night. The event was covered by state of the art 4K Cameras, which are very new in the market and hardly are utilized in any other events. The event was hosted by Broadway drama actress Qurrat Ann Kadwani.
The Runway Princess event began with the Red Carpet reception, which was one of the key attractions. All guests were warmly welcomed by organizers. They also got chance to get their photographs at the “step and repeat” background with very high-end professional photographers. After the reception, guests had a chance to interact with each other. Chilled Champagne, Wine and Light Appetizers were provided.
After ample time to get relax and networking, the ballroom was set for the event. It was opened for guests with a Blooming Rose Dance performance from Broadway dancers, and the curtain was raised with Royal Dance performances.
There were four total fashion showcases that were highlighted during the pageant. First, was the Huriya Manzar from Jiya Designs showcase. This was followed by Samina Mughal‘s collection. Mughal is known for her bold approach toward giving western touch to ethnic garments. Adding some spice to the show was Latino Fashion designer Jhony Calderon, who showcased his exclusive gowns and outfits. Jhony Calderon has designed outfits for many American and Latino celebrities. He also showcases his collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Finally,there was a Bridal collection from Naznin Khawaja from “NZK Designs”. All the models were looking very beautiful, and it added more charm with American models carrying ethnic outfits.
Between these fashion shows there were many singing and dancing performances by well-known singers like Bianca Silva and many others. There were special performances by well-known playback singer from Bollywood Rasika Shekhar who thrilled audience with her “Kamli Kamli” from Dhoom 3 and “Hullare” from 2 States. Singing sensation from Pakistan “Haider Afzal” entertained guests with his sufi singing.
Finally, was the main pageant, where contestants were judged based on criteria like Walk, Confidence, Smile, and Attitude and how they carried their outfit. In this round models were given the option to wear an outfit of their choice to show their best side. All the models were gorgeous and attractive, so competition was very tough. After the pageant round completed till the final results came out, all sponsors and supporters were recognized and appreciated on stage and given very special awards from the Special Guest of the event Neha Sharma. At the end of the event, winners were announced and the prizes and crown were given. The crowning ceremony was done by Neha Sharma, Elena Kuharchuk (Runway Princess 2013) and Zarina (previous runway princess winner). Marina Sasova was the Winner and Tanya Rodina was First Runners up.
