Urban Asian Profile: Pranidhi Varshney – Actress, Yoga instructor and Singer!

Pranidhi Varshney, a Los Angeles based actress, singer, dedicated yoga practitioner, and passionate home cook, is already on the move taking the industry by storm and leaving her mark on the world. Pranidhi sits down with Urban Asian on our Urban Asian Profile and speaks about her accomplishments and what she enjoys the most, especially in the kitchen!


Varshey’s stage credits include Arabian Nights directed by Mary Zimmerman at Berkeley Rep and Kansas City Rep, Sita in Looking-glass Theater’s Sita Ram, Pushpa in Silk Road Theater Project’s Merchant on Venice, and Dock Street Singer at Navy Pier Chicago.  Her on-camera credits include Foreign Body, a web-series based on Robin Cook’s novel by the same name, as well as several commercials.  She recently completed a yoga teacher training though Yoga Works and is looking forward to passing the practice on to others.

Pranidhi Varshey started The Mantra Project which is a merging of her musical and yogic worlds! Working with Clinton Patterson of Prema Soul, she’s breathing new life into ancient Sanskrit chants while honoring their deep and soulful nature. She sits down with Urban Asian and sings one of her Mantra’s which she does in her Yoga classes based in Los Angeles. Pranidhi recently did a movie called Troublemaker which is about a girl named Rekha who is on a hunt for her father and getting back at him as she suffers ups and downs throughout her life. Find out more about Troublemaker here!
