Her lineup includes 4 films in Hindi – Main Gabbar opposite Akshay Kumar releasing on May 1, Rocky Handsome and Welcome Back opposite John Abraham and Yaara opposite Vidyut Jammwal, 2 films in the South, a Tamil film called Puli opposite Vijay and a Telugu untitled production opposite Mahesh Babu.Industry sources have been saying,

In addition to this interesting film line up, the classically trained singer and musician lent her voice to two successful songs – Joganiyan for Tevar and Sannata for the upcoming film Shamitabh which have become sensations and album favorites.
The industry sources further state, “Joganiyan was one of the most successful elements of the film Tevar. Shruti’s voice and the unique combination of it being a rock and romantic ballad made this track successful from the day it was released and has been one of the chart toppers not just from the album but among all of the songs released in recently. Thus the makers of Shamitabh have ensured that they cash in on the momentum of Joganiyan for their song Sannata with the effort for it to garner as much steam and hopefully more given that this is Shruti’s song for her sister Akshara’s debut film”
Talking about Sannata, some say,
“Composed by Ilaiyaraaja, Sannata as a vibe is very different from Joganiyan. It’s very young, contemporary, edgy and quirky – very much the style that Shruti is known for. It’s a very different track compared to the mainstream tracks from recent times. It has names of various contemporary singers, lyricists, actors and musicians as part of its lyrics making it very cool and interesting.”
