South-Asian Composer Naiem returns with Raas-Garba project Typhoon!

After his previous singles“Bliss” featuring Penn Masala and “Elephants” with Raxstar, 23-year-old Washington DC based composer Naiem returns with his latest track in partnership with with Raas All-Stars in his new mixtape “Typhoon”.

Typhoon is a groundbreaking garba mixtape with completely original remixes and handmade beats. It is inspired by thunderstorms and spring weather and is arranged in a way to slowly awaken the listeners’ senses throughout the production. Artwork for the track has been designed by Bianca Patel and Naiem Reza. Check it out!

Raas All-Stars is the 9th annual competition featuring the top eight ranked teams from across the nation. Presented by Kalakriti Performing Arts, RAS IX aims to spread South Asian culture on the biggest stage of the year. The show will be held on April 15, 2017, at the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts in Richardson, TX.

Naiem is releasing his first debut album and film this year, titled “Stories of Water”. The album trailer is releasing in March and the entire project will drop later on in 2017. Stories of Water focuses on social causes and issues in society from black lives matter to mental health issues.
