Mishkat Verma, who was last seen in Yeh Hai Aashiqui, is back in action. He has been roped into play the male lead in Siddharth P Malhotra‘(Alchemy Production’s) upcoming show Iccha Pyaari Naagin on SAB TV. The show is in the funny space, and Mishkat feels he couldn’t have asked for a better project to return to acting after a short gap. He says,
“I am playing Bubble Pratap, the youngest son in the Pratap family of pehelwans.”
But he is the only one among the men in the family who will not be shown a wrestler.
“Bubble is simple and is unlike the other pehelwans in his family. My look in the show is just like how I am in real life. I totally identify with the character as it allows me to be myself.”
The show makes light of the supernatural genre, which is something that Mishkat is excited about. Ask him about the show and how comfortable is he doing comedy and he replies,
“It’s unique because people will see a new trend in the naagin genre. It’s a different concept. I haven’t attempted comedy before but this show is not only about comedy, there is a lot more to it.”
And what kept him busy during the break?
“After my sister’s (Mihika Verma) wedding, I worked hard on my fitness as I had gained weight.”
