Prasad Barve who was last seen in Pritam Pyare Aur Woh on SAB TV , is currently a part of Trishulla Production’s Yeh Vaada Raha on Zee TV where he is palying Jatin Mehta
The character is introduced a friend cum support system to Survi (Sonal Vengurlekar).
When asked about how he manages to get the gujarati accent in spite of he being Marathi the actor says,
“Not at
all difficult to play a Gujarati character as I have many friends of mine who are Gujarati and Jatin Mehta is not shown as a typical Gujarati. He speaks normal Hindi but in between I try giving twist in dialogues by saying a Gujarati line for which I take help of my friend Rupa Patel. I keep calling her from my set.”
The actor adds,
“I like variation in life and career as far as acting is concern I don’t like to get type cast as a comedian. So very thoughtfully I chose to do this role but yes comedy is my first crush. I would like to explore myself in a negative role also and I am sure one day even that kind of role also would be offered to me.”
Since his entry to the show, the TRP has gone up and audieces are appreciating Jatin’s chemsitry with Survi and Khushi!
