A trinity of talent descended on the screen with the release of yet another innovative youth based show. In the era of female empowerment, 4Lions releases Ishqbaaz. Known for their bold and refreshing shows, 4Lions has gives audiences a tale of three brothers Omkara (Kunal Jaisingh), Rudra (Leenesh Mattoo) and Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta). The three symbolize chords of a strong rope which hold the Oberoi empire in place.
Usually star parivaars tend to have a Hum Saath Saath Hai-esque feeling to them, but the Oberois are a bit different. While in most cases, it’s the parent teaching good values to the child, a total 180 has occured in this case. Kalyani Devi’s eldest son Tej (Mahesh Thakur) prides himself on his materialistic wealth while her younger son Shakti puts on a show or the world. Thankfully, bitter backstabbing skipped a generation giving Kalyani Devi an amazing set of grandchildren who would die for one another.
Despite the posh name and grandeur, the Oberios are not much different from the average family. It is this very commonality which sets the show apart from most ‘adarshvadi’ shows. Adding to the magic is stellar star cast. Male leads Nakuul Mehta, Kunal Jaisingh and Leenesh Mattoo have been carefully selected and fit their respective roles perfectly. It will be interesting to see how this trinity of talent unfolds before us as these children go on to be their parents’ best teachers. Let’s see if the Oberoi family will learn a thing or two from these next-gen leaders.
