If you know me, you know that I absolutely love dance. However, perhaps what I love most about the world of dance is the fact that no matter what happens in life, a dancer’s spirit never fades. 60 year old Canadian high school dance teacher Shirley Clements is an embodiment of exactly that perspective. Shirley is a teacher at the “Artistic Edge Dance Academy” in Canada, but is soon to retire. She joined her students at a hip-hop competition and completely floored the audience with her talent! The video was uploaded online and began to immediately shoot up in popularity, even reaching Ellen DeGeneres’ eyes. And, as expected, Ellen, who loves dance, did her part to help this video become even more viral. The video received 2 million hits on Ellen’s page, but you can see it below! Shirley really proves that age is nothing but a number. Keep dancing!
