Hi-Tech Music present the brand new single by Jr Dread featuring the eloquent vocals of Javid Bashir & the Punjabi rap of Sharni. “Akha Lariyan” is set to release 7th May worldwide!
‘Akha Lariyan’ is the first official release by Jr Dread, since August 2013, when he delivered the monster album ‘Folkin Bass’ – an album that featured hit singles such as; ‘Jogi’, ‘Nachu Sara’ & the classic ‘Balle Balle Boliyan’. With his second successful album release in three years confirmed, Jr Dread quickly established himself as one of the most forward thinking producers in UK Asian music.
Born and raised in the cultural melting pot of Birmingham, Jr Dread grew up on a steady dose of eclectic sounds including mostly the sounds of Reggae from the Afro-Caribbean community and Bhangra/Hindi from the Asian community.
With his latest foray, Jr Dread calls on the skills of world renowned Pakistani vocalist Javid Bashir, who offers his unique soulful vocals, that merge seamlessly with the up-tempo & hypnotic production by Jr Dread.
‘Akha Lariyan’ marks the evolving of Jr Dread not only as a producer, but also as a DJ that plays to a variety of crowds! Explaining the musical style, Jr Dread states;
“As varied as my music taste, I want to branch out, experiment and evolve as a producer and DJ.”
2015 wil see Jr Dread embark on a number of exciting projects, each one delivering their own unique style of musical expression. ‘Akha Lariyan’ is just the start of another exciting 12 months for the talented Jr Dread.
