Nikhil Allug's 'Sawaalon ki Duniya' is the answer to all your questions!

A child peeps through a keyhole, intrigued, fearful of the subtle horrors that lay ahead of him. He is confused of the journey he is about to embark on. He, like the rest of us, wishes to fly in the clouds but in the end is left to graze the hard surface of earth for survival. We are stuck in the man made traffic hell, a civilization which was invented for ease but is slowly consuming the irreplaceable nature and us too.

Humaramovie.com, one of India’s leading media houses and Youtube channels, has recently bought the rights of upcoming director Nikhil Allug’s intriguing short film titled Sawaalon ki Duniya (A World of Questions). In under five minutes, Nikhil manages to unravel the hidden mystery of life.

We spoke to Nikhil behind the heavy symbolism and meaning of the film and here is what he had to say about it:

“The entire message of the film was to first pose our deepest rooted problems of the world today as questions versus a paradoxical image and then in the end answer all those questions we ask everyday with an inversion of sorts, a mirror which answers all these questions with the fact that these very questions are the root cause. Society conditions us into becoming failures more than successes. To be successful, one needs to isolate oneself and need to have a singular voice inside us which is the sole guiding force. Even our loved ones can only know so much. The people who have achieved greater heights than known have always been termed initially as anti social or not in sync to reality due to their far fetched sounding dreams and interests. The madmen are ones who invented flying, telephone and electricity. They are christened genius later.”

When we are born we are fresh, new, ready and flexible. We are like a sponge or clay ready to be shaped, tweaked and turned. Over time, our hearts harden and we become rough and fragile like the clay which was left out in the scorching sun. Why are a majority of us then turning into these evil manifestations while the other half whine and blame these people to be so? How does innocence become evil?
