Like a virgin… fall for the very first time…! I’m sorry, couldn’t resist writing that. What am I referring to? I’m talking about what went down (literally) at the 2015 Brit Awards in the UK. Pop diva Madonna was performing the song “Living for Life” at the 35th Annual Brit Awards, held at the O2 Arena in London, when disaster struck! During the performance, her dancers have to pull of her gigantic cape, but she ended up falling quite a distance off the steps on which she was standing. She was obviously surprised and stunned for a moment and didn’t sing for a few seconds. Still, being the professional she is, Madonna continued her performance and still ended the night with a bang. It is sad that the fall happened, but considering this is the first time in her super long career that an incident like this happened, I’d say that isn’t too bad! Madonna is a legend in the music world, and is known for chart-busting tracks and sensational performances. Now, she’s also known for the fall heard round the world!

This was Madonna’s first Brit Awards performance in 20 years! It is sad that the incident has overshadowed that fact, but on the plus side, at least she was lucky to have escaped without any major injuries! Based on the distance she fell, it could have gone really horribly wrong. Regarding the incident, Madonna instagrammed a pic of her outfit with a note, “Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight! But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I’m fine! ❤️#livingforlove” Well, guess that’s what happens when you’re a “material” girl. So happy to see Madonna back performing!
