Folks at UrbanAsian have been hit with the #ALSIceBucketChallenge as well, and that too in India! UA’s film critic Zoran Saher from Mumbai nominated UA’s host Monty Kataria from Delhi.

As fun as this Ice Bucket Challenge is, the cause that it supports is as important. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or ALS is a disease of the spinal cord and nerve cells that hinders our muscle movement. It is a very tragic disease and very little about it is known. The power of people, humanity and social media has made this available to the world and now it is our turn to spread awareness, donate and do whatever little we can to support this and many other causes.
