Srishti Dance Group to Perform at the Royal Albert Hall for Dance Proms

From hundreds of acts around the United Kingdom, a dance group from Srishti-Nina Rajarani Dance School has been selected to perform in the famous Royal Albert Hall along with 24 other acts, on the 13th of November.  This national dance festival, called Dance Proms, begins this year and is organized by organizations, including International Dance Teachers’ Association (IDTA), Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), and the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD).  Here they will cover many styles of dance: from ballet to ballroom, salsa to street dance, and jive to jazz dance.  Teachers and students submitted videos of their dancing online which were then judged by artistic directors and senior members of the three organizations leading this dance festival.  Once this panel chose 24 teams, an online public vote was conducted to pick the 25th team.

Shristi Dance School entered a piece that was choreographed by Nina Rajarani MBE with music composed by Y Yadavan.  They were chosen for their professionalism and the complexity and creativity of their dance and music.

There is much excitement in the air for Dance Proms, with the patrons and project managers, among many others, eagerly awaiting this festival.  The participants have been able to collaborate virtually through online programs and meet with people from other teams.  This is definitely an honor and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Srishti and the other acts as well.
